Where do our high school graduates go? Many remain local or return to Granville, but many leave to jobs, careers and homes elsewhere. Welcome to the "Where Are They Now" page. Many thanks to Mr. Michael Emond for providing the alumni stories he's written and shared.
Mr. Emond graduated in 1965 from Keene State College in New Hampshire and earned his MA degree at SUNY Albany in 1973. He taught secondary English for one year in Meriden Connecticut; two years in Bristol, Vermont; and Granville from 1968 to 1999. He has written articles for The Granville Sentinel about little league baseball and softball, the Granville Area Chorus, and the Poultney-Granville Band, among other subjects. He also wrote about the cross-country teams while coaching them.
Mr. Emond started writing these profiles in 2009 because he was amazed at the achievements of our graduates. He believed that the articles would be of interest to readers who may have lost touch with these far-flung graduates.
Please note these stories were written and published over the course of several years, so there will be life events, accomplishments, etc. since the time of publication. There are more stories to come so please check back often. Enjoy!
