Granville Students Perform Well in Regional Competition

Granville Jr./Sr. High School students competed in the SkillsUSA Area III Regional Leadership and Skills Championship on Wednesday, May 20 at the Schenectady County Community College and the 109th Air National Guard Base. SkillsUSA are competitive events that challenge career and technical education (CTE) students in demonstrating their skill and knowledge in their field of study.

A.J. Perkins, who is in the Automotive Tech program, placed first in the Automotive Service competition. Kaylan Mashtare, who is in the Cosmetology program, placed first in the Promotional Bulletin Board competition. Juliette Whitney, who is in the Cosmetology program, placed fourth in the Cosmetology competition.

Hannah McFarren, who is in the Health Occupations program, was elected as the SkillsUSA Area III Vice President.
