On Friday, May 20th, the Granville Jr./Sr. High Agriculture Program hosted an agricultural fair for students at MJT and GES. The Ag Fair featured stations created and led by High School agriculture students. The stations highlighted topics learned by the HS students throughout the year, with topics spanning the agricultural systems from livestock and wildlife, plant and food science, business and technology, and more!

During the day-long event, waves of Elementary classes spent an hour each rotating through the stations and interacting with the HS leaders. They were able to learn about the science of raising animals in the animal science program, see the technologies used in growing food in the new greenhouse, and enjoy a tasty ice cream and maple treat, and more - all while learning about the vast opportunities in agriculture here in Granville and beyond.

The Granville Ag Program would like to thank Lisa Meade, Cara Talmadge, and Paul Morcone for their help in making the Ag Fair possible. Additionally, they would like to thank Stewart's Shops, Rathbun's Maple Sugar House, and Hicks Orchard, for their kind donations of ice cream, maple candy, and information about the apple orchard, respectively.
