Coach DiPresso's summary of the League Championship
Yesterday evening the Varsity Track and Field Team had their League Championship meet at Union College. We had a lot of great performances and some of our athletes were able to come home with medals!
There were 9 schools in our Independent League. The girls team placed 6th overall. On our team of 4 girls, we were able to take home 24 points.
The boys team placed 4th overall. On our team of 7 boys, we were able to take home 33 points.
Our team may be small, but it is filled with incredible athletes that we are extremely proud of this season!
Natalie Morin: 5th place girls shot put
Maddy Johnson: 5th place girls long jump and 4th place girls 300m
Amber Gibbs: 2nd place girls 300m and 2nd place girls 600m
Carter Powell: 4th place boys 600m
Walter Miller: 6th place boys shot put
Ethan Gibbs: 6th place boys 45m dash and 6th place boys 300m
Evan Norton: 4th place boys shot put
Tim Pratt: 4th place boys 45m dash, 2nd place boys 50m hurdles, and 1st place boys long jump
Our season continues next week as we head to sectionals! Following sectionals, Tim Pratt will be heading to State Qualifiers in two weeks for the 55m dash and the 55m hurdles.
