Congratulations to Mrs. Beach (pictured on left), a third grade teacher at Granville Elementary, for winning the Teacher of the Week from local radio station, Froggy 100.3. She is the second member of our third grade team to receive a local radio station award in this school year.
Mrs. Beach works hard to help her students thrive. She goes above and beyond in her efforts and is really committed to their success. One of Mrs. Beach’s best qualities is her advocacy for her students. “I always try to make sure my students have what they need,” she said. “If they need a strategy or tool to focus or understand a concept, I will do my best to find a resource for them.”
Mrs. Beach taught in North Carolina for four years before embarking on her career at Granville. When asked what she enjoyed most about being a teacher, she said “Watching students make steady progress and overcome learning struggles is so rewarding. I just love those ‘I can do it’ moments!”
She also shared how much she appreciates her entire grade level team. “We share resources, help each other and offer guidance whenever we can. There is a lot of support here and it makes all the difference.”
When she’s not teaching, Mrs. Beach enjoys tutoring, working on the Granville Elementary yearbook team and juggles a busy family life with two children while pursuing her Master’s in Special Education.
