Here are this week's updates from Granville CSD for 6/6/25: https://www.granvillecsd.org/article/2259281

Granville Proud! On June 2nd and 3rd, Advanced Placement (AP) Social Studies Teacher, Mr. Cosey took Granville students to SUNY Plattsburgh to work with other high school students from across Northern New York and Western Vermont, for the MODEL Organization of American States (OAS) exercises.
"Model OAS is a simulation exercise where students represent member states of the OAS (Organization of American States) and participate in diplomatic negotiations and debates to address current issues in the Americas. It's an educational tool used to teach students about international relations, diplomacy, and the Inter-American System."- From https://www.oas.org/
At Granville CSD, we have opportunities for the college-bound and also have lots of competitive, career-ready pathways that lead to good-paying jobs right out of high school.
Whatever your hopes and dreams are for your student - it all starts with good attendance and positive behavior on campus.
See you in school on Monday!

Families please note, the Fox Bus from M.J.T. and G.E.S. is running approximately 15 minutes late. Thank you.

Ready to make a difference? Our girls volleyball teams (LOTS of sign ups!) are looking for coaches - Modified, JV and Varsity.
This is perfect if you want to mentor young athletes, contribute to our schools, understand that coaching is more than practices and games and have lots of patience for middle and high school girls. Let's Go Horde!
Fill out an "coaching application" on the GranvilleCSD.org NOW HIRING page.
Please contact Athletic Director, Gabby Hunt if you have questions or set up a brief appointment to discuss the opportunity: ghunt@granvillecsd.org.
Ideally, you have your NYSPHSAA coaching certificate OR must be willing to start the process (we can guide you through the process).
Please spread the word!

Upcoming music!
And don't forget the GES Talent Show this Friday at 6pm - > Here's a link to share https://www.facebook.com/events/1417347523048768

Dear GES Families and Staff,
In accordance with New York State law, all schools are required to conduct a series of emergency preparedness drills throughout the school year, including lockdown and evacuation drills. These drills are an important part of our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all students and staff.
Please use this message as official notice that we will be conducting our final safety drills over the next few weeks. As always, these are practice drills only. Students and staff will be clearly informed via the PA system prior to the start of each drill that it is a drill and not a real emergency.
We understand that safety drills can be unsettling for some, but we want to assure you that they are a routine part of our school safety procedures and are conducted with the utmost care and consideration. These practices help us all remain prepared and confident in our emergency response protocols.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in keeping Granville Elementary School a safe and secure environment for everyone.
Sincerely,
Trishia Ten Eyck
GES Principal
