After Prom Committee - Urgently needs volunteers, donations for After-Prom Party and current leadership is looking to train and hand-off leadership. Next meeting 11/13 at 6pm at Jr/Sr High - Contact: granvilleafterprom@yahoo.com

Athletic Booster Club - Needs volunteers and one team parent/guardians per team. Meets first Wednesday of the month at Jr/Sr High Cafeteria, 6pm. Here is their new Facebook Page

FFA Alumni and Supporters - Needs volunteers and leadership team to assist new president. Here is their Facebook group.

Granville NY PTO - Here is their Facebook page where their volunteer opportunities are posted. Here is their volunteer sign up form. All PTO events are in the district calendar.

Special Education - Join the new, Parent-to-Parent Support Group for IEP and Special Education. Here is their first meeting information.

Friends of Leo Club - Leo Club is a partnership between Granville Jr/Sr High students and the Granville Lions Club. The Leo Club works on civic engagement projects in Granville and is looking for community partners for a recycling project. Learn more about the Leo Club here and volunteer opportunities.

Community School

The Granville CSD Community School Coordinator welcomes contributions in whatever manner works best for you or your organization. Here are some ideas...

Care Closet - Deodorants, full size shampoo and conditioner sets, leggings, hoodies and t-shirts are always needed at Granville Elementary (youth sizes 8 to 11) and Granville Jr/Sr High (adult sizes XS - XL). Contact krozell@granvillecsd.org

Mentors - Are you available to mentor a Jr/Sr High student and get to together with them twice per month? Apply for Granville Jr/Sr High mentoring through Big Brothers, Big Sisters (BBBS) for Grades 7 - 12. School will match you with a student once BBBS mentor application process is complete. Here is the link to learn more and apply to be a mentor.

Community Connected Classrooms - Can you teach or assist on a specialized topic? Send interest to krozell@granvillecsd.org

Summer Employment for Ages 14 and Up - Do you have an opening in your local business for a teen 14 and up and can provide guidance and mentoring on the job? Let us know and we'll share it with our students near the end of the school year. Here is a link to last year's summer resource post, for reference (which includes a link to summer employment).

Help Us Reach All Families - 1) Help your neighbors download the school app on their mobile device (search Granville CSD in any App store) 2) Remind local school families to review the district online calendar once per week for free resources and opportunities / 3) Refer families to the Community School page for free resources 4) Encourage families to have the most up-to-date email, phone and mailing information in eSchool Parent Portal (families need to contact their main office to update).

Photography - Seasonal pictures of buildings and event photography for school newsletters, printed calendar and website appreciated. Please send contributions to krozell@granvillecsd.org or share via a Google folder.

School PR Team - Grade 7 - 12 and parents in all schools - Looking for brief event recaps and photos, articles and videos about GCSD opportunities.

Winter and Spring Break Activities - Organize community-led activities for our grade 7 - 12 students local businesses and civic organizations during winter (February) and spring breaks (April). Contact krozell@granvillecsd.org for details and examples.

Housing for Homeless High School Students - For a short time or a school year, or fulfilling a rapid response need for one of our students, we welcome your support. Contact krozell@granvillecsd.org

Community School Cafe - Mingle with school community members, share ideas and learn the latest ways to contribute to our schools. Check the district calendar for the next one (date will posted here as well, when scheduled.)
