Now Hiring!

We are seeking two fall coaches ASAP (girls modified soccer and girls varsity volleyball) and special educators for grades 7-12 and more. Please see our postings here and join our team.

Transportation

Please help us plan the bus routes by updating the school if you DO NOT NEED bus transportation or HAVE A CHANGE (like a bus pick up or drop off location). Here is the link to please fill this out by 8/8.

Fall Sports Registration

It's time to register for grade 7 - 12 fall sports.

1) Please use our new online system on Aktivate.com for the Jr/Sr High.

Here is the link to instructions on the GCSD Athletics page.

2) Please attend the Jr/Sr High fall sports Parent-Player-Coach Meeting
.

The meeting is on Thursday, August 14th at 5:30 pm. This a great time to meet your coach, ask questions and understand how each team works. Here is the district calendar event for this meeting to add to your calendar.

3) Free physicals on Thursday, August 7th, by appointment.

Please contact Nurse Hover right away to reserve a time for a Jr/Sr High free physical to have on file in order to play sports. Here is the direct link to the district calendar with details.

9/2 - 7th Grade Hot Dog Roast, 5pm Granville Jr/Sr High - Meet staff, have a free meal, say hello to old and new friends! Students and their families welcome.

9/3 - MJT/GES School Supply Drop Off and PTO Ice Cream Social for Students and Families, 1:30pm - 3pm at MJT and GES - Say hello to teachers and visit with friends and staff!

9/4 - First Day of School

8/1 - 8/4 - NYSPHAA Coupon for 20% Off at Dick's Sporting Goods for Student Athletes. Here is the link to the coupon

8/5 - Free Field Hockey Fun Night begins throughout the month of August. Twice per week with Coach Barber. Here is the link to the details.

8/6 - Free Summer Soccer Sessions continues every Wednesday 5pm - 6:30pm and Saturday 9:30am with GCSD parents Jason Mead and Cory Bourn. Boys and girls grade 7 - 12 welcome.

8/9 - Volunteer - The FFA Alumni will be hosting a coin drop at three locations from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Any support or participation would be greatly appreciated. Here is the link to the FFA Alumni group.

8/18 - 8/24 - Volunteer - Washington County Fair – 4-H Food Booth
The local 4-H Club is looking for volunteers to help in the 4-H food booth during fair week (Tuesday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM). You do not need to be a current 4-H member to participate. Volunteers can be as young as 5 years old; however, children aged 5–7 must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up here.

8/23 - Annual Backpack and School Supply Giveaway - Come stock up on free school supplies and a free backpack for your student. Details are in the district calendar and on our Facebook page events.
