Desperately seeking a modified volleyball coach for the fall 2026 season.

If you can learn new things, you can do this!

We'll show how to become a NYS certified coach, if you aren't already.

Feeling a little rusty around volleyball or unsure you can do it? There are plenty of free, online resources for coaching modified volleyball that can show you how to improve team skills like how to lead drills, how to organize a practice, fix a technique or how to be the mentor-coach the team needs.

The best coaches are simply willing to keep learning and sharing what they learn.

Practice starts soon and the girl's modified volleyball team needs a coach.

Ready to lead the Golden Horde?

Please share with friends and family!

Modified Volleyball Coach Needed - Fall 2026
Drivers Needed!

Attention Granville Parents, Friends and Neighbors!

Granville CSD needs bus drivers, substitute drivers, sports run drivers and drivers for special transportation routes using a van or SUV.

Four hours a day is considered full-time and includes benefits, if desired.

Substitute drivers welcome too!

Who is this for?

We are looking for at least 5 community members who can pitch in and fit driving into their existing career path and lifestyle.

For example, this is a great fit for the following types of people...

Are you a staff member, parent or community member who already attends games and would consider learning how to drive a bus to help the sports teams head to away games?

Are you a local business owner, online creator or farmer who has time flexibility in the early mornings and late afternoons? We need you!

Are you semi-retired or newly retired and looking for a unique way to give back while earning good money? Your experience is appreciated!

Are you starting a new business and could use a steady income stream while you build your future? This is a smart solution!

Are you interested in starting a new career? Or second career to make ends meet? Commercial Driver's License (CDL) drivers are in BIG demand across the country, and you can start your training right here in Granville.

Granville CSD is a great place to work and grow your career. In addition to driving, additional opportunities arise like coaching our teams, being a teacher's aide or substitute teacher in-between runs -- all while having school breaks and summers off (or you can drive in the summer because we have programs running too! Up to you!) We have more openings for the right people.

Yes! But...

Intimidated by the large yellow buses? Start driving a route that only uses a van or SUV while you learn the big bus ropes. This frees up drivers to handle the routes requiring a commercial driver's license.

Intimidated by a bus full of students? We have attendants on buses to inspire good behavior and care for students. Sports runs have coaches on the buses. (We have a "bus of the month" positive bus behavior program to inspire students, families and staff to work together.)

If you've wanted to help your local community and make a difference (drivers really do make a big impact), this could be your chance. It's super fun to have students excited look forward to having YOU as their driver.

If you've been wanting to contribute to public schools this is very practical way to do so.

Pay starts at $24.50 per hour, and increases based your position, your experience and level of training.

We will train you in-house, right here in Granville.

Please share with your friends and neighbors.

School starts September 8th.

Let's! Go! Granville!

⏳ The Tuesday Tip: The 5-Minute Tune-Up

You don't need a massive home library or hours of free time to get your kids ready for school success.

Just 5 minutes of looking at a book together works like a quick tune-up for your child's brain.

💡It helps them catch on faster in every class because reading is the foundation for everything the teachers put on the board.

Even if you’re just flipping through a book, looking at the pictures, and talking about what’s happening, you are building the habit.

Over time, those five minutes add up, building the brainpower and confidence your child needs to handle everything from science to math word problems.

The Free Resource: Grab any book from the house or open a free story on https://StorylineOnline.net/ right on your phone.

⏳ Set a timer for just five minutes while you're sitting on the couch or waiting in the car.

📚 As the saying goes , "Rome wasn't built in a day,"and strong readers aren't either. Just five minutes tonight gets the wheels turning.

Strong readers = strong schools!

🔩 The Tuesday Tip: Connection, Not Perfection

Parents sometimes worry that they aren't "qualified" to help their kids with reading, especially if they aren’t big readers or don't know every single word on the page.

But your child doesn't need you to be an english teacher. They just need you.

Reading with your child isn't about getting a perfect score or treating it like a test.

It’s about spending five or ten minutes together after a long day.

When your child sees you making time to look at a book with them, it tells them that school and reading matter.

That confidence is what helps them tackle tough assignments in every subject, from english to math.

The Free Resource: Next time you open a book together—whether it's a library book or a free digital story on UniteForLiteracy.com—don't sweat the new words.

If you or your kid get stuck, just laugh it off, sound it out together, or look at the pictures to guess.

It’s about the connection, not perfection.

You’ve got this!

Strong readers = strong schools!

https://www.uniteforliteracy.com/ - save this to your phone or tablet. When you have 5-10 minutes, in the car, or at home, or by the lake, open the webpage up, click on a book and let the website narrate or look at it together.

No registration required, no login required, no ads, just select a short book and go!

🔩 The Tuesday Tip: Off the Clock, But Still Learning

After a long day, the last thing you want to do is fight with your kid about reading a book.

But here’s a literacy secret: just letting your kids hear stories builds their brainpower for all their school subjects, from science to social studies.

It helps children learn new words that help them understand what the teachers are talking about when they return to school.

The Free Resource: Check out https://storylineonline.net/ (it's totally free).

It features famous actors and people reading children’s books out loud with cool animations.

Put it on the tablet or TV while you’re unwinding from work, or watch it together and talk about the pictures or things in the book that puzzle you or make you laugh.

Plus, they get a story, you get a breather, and their brain gets a workout.

Strong readers = strong schools!
