Good Afternoon Jr/Sr High Families: This is to inform you that the Granville Jr/Sr High school will conduct our two final emergency response drills within the next week. Before our drill, staff will talk to students about procedures, explain what to do, and why their actions are important. After the drill, staff will reassure students that they are safe. This drill is conducted to ensure that, in the unlikely event of an emergency, our school community is prepared and knows how to stay safe.
Thank you,

Here are this week's updates from Granville CSD : https://www.granvillecsd.org/article/2205654

Good Afternoon Granville CSD Families,
A number of districts in the capital region are seeing an increase in Chromebook damages based on a TikTok challenge.
The person in the TikTok video encourages students to insert metal objects in the USB ports of the Chromebook.
This could cause a short circuit, which would damage the Chromebook and possibly spark a lithium battery fire. This would require a school evacuation and the fire department being called to assist.
As with any other intentional damage, students will be charged to replace the device in addition to the possibility of criminal charges of arson and vandalism.
A few of the districts in our region have sent communication out to parents making them aware of this issue and Granville CSD wanted to be sure families were made aware of this as well.
Below is a link to a news story about the Tik Tok challenge.
