See you tomorrow! Getting to school on time is an important life skill. It helps prepare your student for life after high school when being 5-10 minutes early is considered being on time. Practice being punctual as a family each school day - from the MJT years all the way to the High School years. Try this: Show up 10-15 minutes early at your school and enjoy a free breakfast. No registration required. #gohorde #granvilleny #granvillecsd

Autism Acceptance Month kicks off today! Tomorrow, Wednesday April 2nd, is World Autism Day. Please consider wearing Granville Blue to show your support for our school community with Autism.
What is Autism? Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a complex, lifelong developmental condition that typically appears during early childhood and can impact a person’s social skills, communication, relationships, and self-regulation.
The Autism experience is different for everyone.
It is defined by a certain set of behaviors and is often referred to as a “spectrum condition” that affects people differently and to varying degrees.
Autism often co-occurs with other conditions, like ADHD. They share common challenges with communication and self-regulation and also many triumphs like being gifted, passionate and skilled in their special interests.
Thank you to all faculty and staff who work with students with Autism, whether they are diagnosed or undiagnosed. Each teacher, aide, assistant, and staff member contributes daily to helping these students, and your efforts are truly appreciated.
And thank you to our amazing social worker teams at all schools for highlighting Autism Acceptance Month. #gohorde #granvillecsd #granvilleny #granvillenystrong
