Dear GES Families and Staff, In accordance with New York State law, all schools are required to conduct a series of emergency preparedness drills throughout the school year, including lockdown and evacuation drills. These drills are an important part of our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all students and staff. Please use this message as official notice that we will be conducting our final safety drills over the next few weeks. As always, these are practice drills only. Students and staff will be clearly informed via the PA system prior to the start of each drill that it is a drill and not a real emergency. We understand that safety drills can be unsettling for some, but we want to assure you that they are a routine part of our school safety procedures and are conducted with the utmost care and consideration. These practices help us all remain prepared and confident in our emergency response protocols. We have some exciting things happening in the sports world at Granville CSD as we are sending THREE teams to the Adirondack League Championships tonight! Good luck to the baseball, softball and track teams! Need a Friday night activity? Come cheer on our teams! Varsity Track is heading to Lake George for a 4pm meet vs. Corinth/Hadley-Luzerne for the Championship Varsity Softball is heading to Moreau Rec Field for a 4:30pm game vs. Salem for the League Championship And Varsity Baseball is heading to East Field in Glens Falls for a 7pm game vs. Cambridge-Salem for the Championship as well. Good Afternoon Jr/Sr High Families: This is to inform you that the Granville Jr/Sr High school will conduct our two final emergency response drills within the next week. Before our drill, staff will talk to students about procedures, explain what to do, and why their actions are important. After the drill, staff will reassure students that they are safe. This drill is conducted to ensure that, in the unlikely event of an emergency, our school community is prepared and knows how to stay safe. Thank you, Granville CSD
