Summer Program Families: For student, staff and bus safety, please avoid the Jr/Sr High courtyard entrance (by main front door) for Summer Academy and Summer School drop off and pick up. Jr/Sr High families, please drop off/pick up your Summer School student at Rawson Avenue. You may drive all the way into Rawson and there is a section of the road to pull over. Alternatively, please park in the Potter Avenue entrance to the school or enter in the back of the school (by the track). Summer Academy families, please use Potter Ave to pull into the school, park and walk your student in. As a reminder, in New York, it is illegal and extremely dangerous to pass a stopped school bus with flashing red lights. Drivers must stop on both sides of the road when a school bus with flashing red lights is stopped to load or unload children. Please note, our buses may be running a little late on the first day but we will be there.

Welcome to Granville CSD! Last night's Board of Education meeting included lots of new activity!

The Board of Education welcomed new Board Member Ms. Lacoste, and nominated and voted on President and Vice President positions: Congratulations to Mr. Hoagland (pictured in white shirt) who was appointed as Board of Education President and to Mr. Torres who is the new Vice President.

Three new teachers were welcomed as well, two of which are pictured here.

And, it was Mr. Hall's first day as new Superintendent of Schools too! Go Horde! #granvilleny #granvillecsd

Thank you to the Granville CSD Transportation Department from the MJT Kitchen! Jenn Rock, kitchen manager at MJT, assembled adorable packages for each member of the transportation department to thank them for all of their hard work this year! Inside she included homemade fudge along with a few other goodies. Go Horde!

Reminders for Seniors: -Baccalaureate: Thursday, June 26th @ 7pm, Granville Baptist Church-all seniors and families are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please wear your cap and gown. -Graduation Rehearsal- Friday, June 27th from 9:00 AM -11:00 AM. Meet in the Sr. High Gym for some directions and discussions. We will line up in order and practice the procession. We will go over all elements of the ceremony. You will receive your class picture, report card, and tickets at the end of rehearsal. Attendance is mandatory. -Graduation - Friday, June 27th 6:30 PM front lawn, weather permitting - Make sure you are dressed and lined up by 6:15 PM with your cap and gown.

Lisa has an incredible intuition for knowing exactly what her student needs—whether it’s a quiet moment, a gentle nudge of encouragement, or a creative new approach to keep them motivated. She doesn’t just instruct; she inspires, consistently modeling positive and effective ways to engage with students that works with them. Watching her work is a lesson in itself—her actions teach more than words ever could, and she sets a standard I strive to follow." Granville Jr/Sr High - May 2025 - Ms. Marchese, Spanish Teacher "Cristina does a great job at getting her students engaged both in and out of the school environment. Within classes she uses different modes of presentation to engage her students. Outside of the classroom she recently took over organizing the Rail Trail to the Footbridge 5K where she encouraged several students to become engaged in the activity either by running the course or taking on volunteer positions.
